ECA Mission

The Egyptian Chefs Association (ECA), established as a non-profit organization in 1997, aims to improve the quality and standards of members of the culinary profession by encouraging the exchange of culinary knowledge on a national and international level in order to enhance the image and standards of the profession.

Membership Policy & Classification

New Members of the ECA – Chefs, Bakery Chefs, Butcher Chefs – will be classified according to their experience into the appropriate level by the association. The membership entry form will request full details of the applicant's past work experience, training and awards, which will help to determine his or her membership status.

    ECA Member Mileage Scheme

    Collect 50 ECA "Member Mileage Points" before December'05, and receive an annual membership renewal FREE!

    The more members we have in the ECA, the stronger we are as an association, and the more benefits and services we can offer members. And, the more members participate, the stronger their skills and the greater their career potential, enhancing Egypt's culinary reputation the world over.

    To encourage membership growth and participation, the ECA is pleased to announce an incentive program. Recruit new members and participate in events, training workshops and quizzes, and you could receive a FREE membership renewal in 2006! There's no limit to how many members can win, but there is a deadline. To qualify, you have to collect 50 "mileage points" before the 1st of December this year.

    It's not often that you get a chance to help your organization by helping yourself, so better take this one now.

    Collecting points is easy. Accomplishing the following earns a set amount of points:

  • Recruiting a new member
  • 10 Pts
  • Sending in a completed Chef's Corner quiz with at least 7 right answers
  • 5 Pts
  • Participating in an ECA Competition
  • 2 Pts
  • Receiving an ECA Competition Merit Certificate
  • 5 Pts
  • Winning an ECA Competition Medal
  • 10 Pts
  • Participating in a workshop and successfully completing the exam
  • 10 Pts
