Bake the Season Bright: A Festive Christmas Pastry Workshop

The Egyptian Chefs Association recently hosted a festive two-day workshop that brought the joy of holiday baking to life. The event was a culinary celebration, immersing participants in the art of crafting Christmas pastries. From traditional holiday favorites to creative confections, the hands-on experience was tailored for bakers of all skill levels—whether seasoned pros or enthusiastic beginners. 

Over the course of two days, participants were guided by expert Chef Ahmed Al Armaly, learning techniques to create pastries that were not only stunning to look at but also delightful to taste. The workshop delivered a perfect blend of practical skills, seasonal charm, and inspiration to elevate any holiday table. 

What They Learned:   

Participants explored an exciting lineup of classic and innovative holiday treats: 

  • Christmas Cookies: A variety of festive cookies, including Bevaar, Baselar, Peransel, Cinnamon Stars, Stollen, and timeless Gingerbread. 
  • Apple Mince Pies: A holiday staple, combining rich flavors in buttery pastry. 
  • Mont Blanc: A sophisticated chestnut dessert, perfect for special occasions. 
  • Traditional Yule Logs (3 Flavors): The quintessential Christmas dessert, offered in an array of mouth-watering flavors. 
  • Vanilla Chocolate Hazelnut Praline: A decadent delight blending creamy and crunchy textures. 
  • Christmas Crème Brûlée: A festive spin on the classic custard dessert. 
  • Pumpkin Pie: A timeless favorite, showcasing the flavors of the season. 

From mastering delicate pastry techniques to decorating show-stopping desserts, attendees left the workshop equipped with the skills to bake up a magical holiday feast.
