In a significant step towards advancing the hospitality sector and tackling unemployment, the Egyptian Chefs Association has signed a cooperation protocol with Ta’heel for VET Skills Excellence. The signing ceremony was attended by Chef Hossam Soliman, President of the Egyptian Chefs Association, and Mr. Ashraf Gamal, Executive Director of the Association, along with Ms. Shorouk Zidane, CEO and Managing Director of Ta’heel.
The partnership aims to empower students in the field of hospitality by equipping them with essential skills and hands-on experience. This initiative also seeks to prepare students to participate in local and international exhibitions and competitions, thereby boosting their readiness to meet the demands of the evolving labor market.
This collaboration reflects a shared commitment to tackling unemployment and fostering a highly skilled workforce in the hospitality industry. It also aims to elevate the standards of vocational education and training, addressing a critical need for economic development in Egypt and beyond.
Ta’heel for VET Skills Excellence, established in 2021 by Nahdet Misr Group, is the first Egyptian company dedicated to technical education and vocational training. The company’s mission is to bridge the gap between market demands and workforce capabilities by equipping young people with market-relevant skills.
Ms. Zidane emphasized the company’s focus, saying, “Ta’heel has been working since its launch to help young people acquire the latest skills needed to face the challenges of the changing labor market. We are committed to investing in human capital through education and training programs that promote lifelong learning and career development.”
