Job Role:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to join our team and lead the culinary vision of SELF F&B. As the head of our kitchen, you will play a crucial role in crafting and delivering innovative, health-conscious dishes that align with our holistic philosophy.
Responsibilities:
- Apply new and improved menu and develop creative solutions when needed to offer a balance of nutritious and indulgent options, in line with SELF’s wellness approach.
- Train, Lead and manage the kitchen staff, ensuring high food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Source and select premium ingredients, focusing on organic and sustainable produce. This should be done with cost conscious approach knowing the fluctuation in the fruits and vegetables market.
- Innovate and introduce new recipes that cater to diverse dietary preferences, such as vegan, gluten-free, and high-protein options.
- Collaborate with the wellness team to host workshops, cooking classes, and special events.
- Ensure a positive kitchen environment, fostering teamwork, creativity, and continuous learning.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef, preferably in health-focused or wellness-oriented kitchens.
- A passion for creating nutritious, sustainable, and delicious food.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide kitchen staff.
- Knowledge of various dietary needs and a commitment to healthy cooking techniques.
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills.
- Culinary degree or relevant qualification and experience.
