Cake Decorating

ECA Live Cooking Competitions at HACE 2023

  • Competitors should decorate one finished cake of the competitor’s choice within a two-and-a-half-hour duration.
  • All decorating ingredients must be edible and mixed on the spot.
  • No pre-modeled garnish permitted.
  •  Chocolate and royal icing can be pre-prepared to the basic level, e.g. tempered chocolate can be brought.
  • Competitors must provide all ingredients including cake base (Min. 30 x 30cm), utensils, and small equipment required.
  • A standard buffet table is provided for each competitor.
  • The cake will be tasted as part of the judging.
  •  The Judges will cut the cake.
  • ECA will provide the knife, plates, and cutlery for the jury to taste the cakes.
