The Egyptian Chefs Association (ECA) is proud to announce the relaunch of the Egypt Young Chefs Club (EYCC), the youth arm of our esteemed organization. Dedicated to nurturing young talent in the food and beverage industry, EYCC is known for its commitment to excellence, continuous learning, and the promotion of high culinary standards.

We aspire to build a dynamic community where young professionals can freely exchange knowledge, network, and grow in their careers. With a strong foundation in mentorship and education, EYCC will support and guide the next generation of Egyptian culinary professionals.

Mission

EYCC aims to support young Egyptian chefs and individuals aspiring to work in the food industry and related sectors. Our mission is to develop their personal and professional skills, fostering a generation of chefs ready to excel in their careers.

Objectives

  • Promote the culinary profession among young Egyptians, instilling pride and ambition to excel.
  • Foster respect, teamwork, and a willingness to share knowledge and experience within the culinary community.
  • Provide additional training and educational opportunities for young chefs aspiring to build careers in the food sector.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship programs to assist young Egyptian chefs in their professional journeys.
  • Create scholarships and internship opportunities to support the development of young culinary talent.
  • Promote Egyptian cuisine and local products, preserving and celebrating Egypt’s rich food heritage.
  • Represent Egypt in young chef competitions, forums, and events worldwide.

Membership

Membership in the Egypt Young Chefs Club is open to young Egyptians between the ages of 16 and 28 who are either working in the food industry, related sectors, or have a strong passion for cooking and improving the culinary scene in Egypt. Membership is free for those who are already member of the Egyptian Chefs Association.

EYCC operates under the guidance of Worldchefs, the global network for culinary professionals, following its four core pillars: Friendship, Education, Cuisine, and Culture. Through this connection, EYCC members gain access to networking opportunities, mentorship programs, and educational resources provided by Worldchefs. Additionally, Worldchefs has chosen Naira El Lamei, ECA Board member, as a mentor for the Worldchefs Young Chef Committee, further strengthening our global presence and mentorship opportunities.
