The Egyptian Chefs Association is delighted to announce that Gracias has joined us as a Corporate Member.
Gracias by Perifood Inc., established in 2018, is a pioneering force in bringing the rich and diverse flavors of Latin American cuisine to Egypt. Their mission is to introduce a variety of culinary experiences under one umbrella, ranging from catering and casual dining to street food and, soon, the world of coffee.
Gracias encompasses three distinctive dining concepts:
– Gracias Latin Kitchen – Fast street food dining with authentic flavors.
– Gracias Bistro– A relaxed, casual dining experience.
– Gracias Café – Offering a refined and elevated coffee experience.
Additionally, Gracias is home to Peri’s Popup Dinner Series, a unique initiative hosted at Gracias restaurants that captures the vibrant and authentic culinary spirit of Latin America.
Chef Perihan Saleh is the founder and creative force driving Gracias. Her journey began in 2010 with a strong foundation in project management and marketing strategy, which evolved into a comprehensive business model. In 2016, Chef Peri shifted her focus entirely to the F&B industry. Immersing herself in the culinary arts, she traveled to Latin America to explore its diverse cuisines and cultures.
To solidify her expertise, Chef Peri earned her certification as a professional chef from the Italian Chef Academy in Rome, making her one of the few Egyptians to join the Italian Chef Association. Her experience working with Michelin-starred and award-winning restaurants further sharpened her technical and business acumen.
Gracias boasts three prime brick-and-mortar locations in Arkan Plaza, District 5, and The Drive, along with two catering booths and cart frequently appearing at events across Cairo. They also operate cloud kitchens in Tagamoa, Zamalek, and Mohandessin, ensuring their delicious offerings are widely accessible.
