Chef Ahmed Sedhom, embarked on his culinary journey by pursuing studies in the Tourism and Hotels, Department of Kitchen. His early culinary training began among an elite group of distinguished chefs, igniting a passion for the culinary arts. With a background steeped in culinary excellence, Chef Sedhom’s career flourished as he joined prestigious international hotel chains including Marriott International, Le Méridien, Conrad International, Crown Plaza, St. Regis, and Kempinski. He further honed his skills by graduating from Culinary Arts Training Center, accredited by City & Guild London in Egypt.
Throughout his illustrious career, Chef Sedhom has garnered numerous accolades, including multiple local gold and silver medals. In 2010, he was selected to represent Egypt in the Culinary World Cup Luxembourg, showcasing his talent on an international stage. Subsequently, he participated in esteemed competitions such as the Dubai World Hospitality Championship 2015 and the Global Pastry Chef Challenge in South Africa in 2019, where he earned a silver medal. He also participated in the World Cup in France – Coupe Du Monde De La Pâtisserie Lyon-, as both a participant and team captain. In 2023, he further contributed to the culinary world by serving as a member of the judging panel for the World Cup.
Not only has Chef Sedhom excelled in competitions, but he has also contributed significantly to the development of culinary talent. He has trained numerous chefs for both international and local competitions, guiding them to win prestigious awards and medals in live cooking and cold displays. Recognized for his expertise, he was chosen as one of the trainers for the Egyptian Chefs Association, mentoring young chefs for participation in international competitions. Continuing his pursuit of culinary excellence, Chef Sedhom expanded his skills by participating in the WorldChefs seminar, to become a certified international judge.
